the Financial Services Authority will cease to exist in its current form.

1 April 2009 - Industry Guidance on the disclosure of commission to commercial clients
The FSA have today confirmed Industry Guidance developed by BIBA and the LIIBA. Firms selling general insurance to commercial clients are still not required to disclose their commission up-front but you will see that major changes are needed to the selling process and documents that are issued to clients. The FSA are set to review progress in 2010/11.
We are also pleased to include, with their kind permission, a copy of a special edition of BIBA's Compliance Rules which provides an effective summary on the issue.
Branko Ltd will be very shortly publishing a new version of its DIY Compliance Manual and the BIBA Compliance Manual to take on-board these changes and other important changes since the last version was published.
